Arteco Vision Systems announced today that they have entered into an agreement with Vigilex to market the Arteco Intelligent Video Solution (IVS) in the Chinese market. Under the agreement, Arteco Vision Systems will supply Clayton, Missouri based Vigilex with its product as well as the exclusive rights to market the Arteco IVS in mainland China for an undisclosed period of time. The joint marketing effort headed-up by Vigilex will target government and commercial concerns in the territory.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the field of command and control systems for automation, Arteco is an industry leader in intelligent video surveillance in the European market. The System uses a proprietary algorithm to identify anomalies within a digital image such as movement or temperature change within a controlled space. This powerful analysis allows the system to count and recognize objects, people and situations. Historically, video surveillance has been used to help identify suspects after a violation has occurred. Arteco’s intelligent surveillance works to pre-empt the violation through applications that alert the security staff to suspicious or erratic behavior such as unauthorized entry, an abandoned object, a removed object, lingering person, and vehicle moving violations.
The Arteco IVS system dramatically reduces human error caused by fatigue or boredom that results from monitoring many video screens over long hours by alerting security personnel only when a violation is occurring. The product has been successfully implemented to protect national monuments, museum artifacts, highway safety, water treatment facilities, city centers and hospital patients.
“We are delighted by the opportunity to introduce Intelligent Video Surveillance to the Chinese market. Arteco Vision Systems and Vigilex are strategically aligned to use our product offering to help increase security for both commercial and government concerns in China,” said George Bucci, President of Arteco Vision Systems.
