Water Treatment Facilities under Smart Surveillance

HERA, Italy’s largest independent water and sewer company, announced the implementation of “Intelligent Video Surveillance” to monitor the water treatment facility in Borgo Tossignano. The video surveillance is provided by Arteco and is designed to protect the plant from vandalism and biological terrorism. HERA is using the system to protect its most important treatment facility by reducing false alarms and optimizing the resources of their security team.
